South Devon -- TWO Dartmouth women are hoping to raise lots of funds towards their Charity walk on the Great Wall of China on November 7. Maggie Rogers and Sharon Hart – who both work at Dartmouth Medical Practice - are walking the Great Wall of China in Aid of Prostate Cancer UK on a trip organised by Gold Radio. The pair will join a group in the Spring of 2013 and spend 10 days walking 6,000km along the incredible Great Wall of China. But to take part Maggie and Sharon have to raise £3,500 each – and they have organised a brilliant auction at Brown's Hotel to do just that. The pair have convinced a large group of individuals and companies to donate great prizes. The auctioneer on the night will be Dartmouth Favourite Nick Crosly, Maggie, who works as a receptionist at Dartmouth Medical Practice, said: "We have been so pleased at the response to our appeal for auction prizes. We are both very excited by the chance to go to China but we need to fundraise hard to make sure we can get there – we hope a lot of people come down to take part the evening is going to be a lot of fun and there are some amazing prizes on offer." The event takes place at Brown's Hotel in Victoria Road, Dartmouth on November 7 – tickets are £10 and include a burger, a glass of bubbly and a free raffle ticket!
