China's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday it's open to a dialogue on cybersecurity with the United States a day after a White House official for the first time publicly accused Chinese actors of being involved in digital intrusions against American entities.
"China is willing, on the basis of the principles of mutual respect and mutual trust, to have constructive dialogue and cooperation on this issue with the international community including the United States to maintain the security, openness and peace of the Internet," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chuying was quoted by Reuters as saying during a briefing.
