The rise of e-commerce is reshaping the retailing business in China, the world’s fastest-growing major economy and most populous country. According to a report last month by McKinsey & Co., some 5-6% of its retail spending in China already comes from “e-tail," compared with 5% in the United States. Beneficiaries include Baidu, 22%-Yahoo-owned Alibaba, and delivery firm SF Express.
