A Chinese man has been ordered to serve seven days in detention for posting details online about the case of a former police chief that set off a political firestorm this year.
The state-run Chengdu Daily in southwest China says an airline worker gave information about former Chongqing city police chief Wang Lijun to a friend. The paper says the friend, surnamed Mao, then posted the information online.
The paper said on Saturday that by posting the information online, Mao “leaked national security secrets on purpose.” Reported by S.China Morning Post 7 minutes ago.
