China officially wrapped up its 18th Congress yesterday.
We already have the names of the 205 members of the 18th central committee![ext]()
of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the 171 alternate members. ![ext]()
But members of the Politburo Standing Committee (PSC), the all important decision making body were kept hidden until now.
Here are the seven people making up China's new PSC via Xinhua:![ext]()
1. Xi Jinping
2. Li Keqiang
3. Zhang Dejiang
4. Yu Zhengsheng
5. Liu Yunshan
6. Wang Qishan
7. Zhang Gaoli
Reports earlier this year suggested that the PSC would be reduced to seven members, down from nine. Investors everywhere have been watching for these names looking for reformers, but the party's political path seemed set based on Hu Jintao's speech.
